Central Coast, Oregon

After exploring Washington state, we decided to stay the rest of the summer on the central Oregon coast. We were here already last year and we absolutely love this area. The rugged and undeveloped coast with miles and miles of sand beaches, coastal rainforest as well as the beautiful Oregon dunes are a hikers paradise who is looking for solitude. Rarely, we saw people on the long stretches of beach when hiking north or south of the official trail ends. Occasionally, we spotted grey whales, orcas and of course the always curious seals.
As one can imagine, choosing the pictures for this post from several hundreds was quite a challenge 😄
